Demonstraters threw Molotov Cocktails at riot police in Athens Wednesday, as tens of thousands gathered in Syntagma Square to protest a new austerity package being voted on inside the Greek parliament.

ATHENS (Reuters) - Greek police fired tear gas and water cannons to disperse thousands of protesters who flooded into the main square before parliament on Wednesday in a massive show of anger against lawmakers voting on a new austerity package.  The violence erupted as a handful of protesters tried to break through a barricade to enter parliament.
