Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Barry (DDG 52) launching a Tomahawk missile in support of Operation Odyssey Dawn. Barry is on a routine deployment conducting maritime security operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility. U.S. and British warships have launched the opening salvo of the intervention in Libya — called Operation Odyssey Dawn — firing some 110 Tomahawk cruise missiles at Qaddafi anti-air defenses, mostly on the coast of Western Libya and extending between Tripoli and Benghazi.
