The guy from MTV's Real World tells Liz Warren how to regulate the banks. Sean Duffy (R-WI), the self-described "Voice of the People," took in over $480,000 from political action committees this past election cycle, including tens of thousands of dollars from these "people":
Now watch Duffy employ his razor-sharp wit in accusing Elizabeth Warren of being a de facto "Acting Director" of the CFPB, insinuating that she is some kind of rogue bureaucrat, unaccountable to the people:

Now, we wouldn't accuse Mr. Duffy of trying to smear Elizabeth Warren's integrity simply in order to ingratiate himself with his corporate campaign donors, but if it walks like a captured politician, quacks like a captured politician, and accepts ginormous, $10,000 checks from corporate sponsors like a captured politician... Well, you can draw your own conclusion.
But just for fun, we looked into Mr. Duffy's fundraising activities over the past month or so. On March 1, it looks like he and some good friends had "breakfast" at the Capital Hill Club. According to the invitation, a couple of poached eggs and some toast with The Voice of the People would have cost you $500 as an individual and $1,000 as a political action committee (screen shots from OpenSecrets.org):
On February 17, Duffy and his pals went down to the Capital Hill Club to have some "lunch." Like breakfast, lunch with The Voice of The People will set you back $500 as an individual and $1,000 if you are with a PAC:
And on February 10, The Voice of the People sat down for another $500-1,000 "lunch" at the Capital Hill Club:
We're sure the good people of Wisconsin are glad to know that Sean Duffy, unlike that know-it-all busy-body, Elizabeth Warren, is accountable to the people, and not to a bunch of nameless, faceless special interest groups.
