Hackers release a variety of personal and financial records on Michelle Obama, Joe Biden, Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton, FBI Director Robert Mueller, Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, Donald Trump, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Tiger Woods and more.
The list is still growing. And the Russian hackers have a sense of humor. Check out some of the details in this updated story from The Guardian.
Romney joined the list on Wednesday when the site posted what purported to be his credit cards and a card for Barneys. The page was illustrated with a photo of President Barack Obama, who vanquished Romney last year, and a caption: "Hey Mitt, you mad bro?"
Credit reports for Woods, accompanied with a picture in which the golfer looked upset, were dated to Tuesday, suggesting the hackers were obtaining up to the minute information.
Titled "the secret files", the website features a warning: "If you believe that God makes miracles, you have to wonder if Satan has a few up his sleeve."

The hacker posted the personal information to a website called The Secret Files, which has an Internet suffix that originates in Russia displaying victims' addresses, Social Security numbers, mortgage accounts, credit card numbers and bank accounts.
"The incident with LAPD Chief Charlie Beck is being looked at by detectives," a police source told the Daily News. "His personal information was posted."
At least it wasn't Bernanke getting hacked again...

President Obama confirmed authorities were investigating whether hackers had indeed obtained and posted online financial information belonging to his wife, first lady Michelle Obama, and nearly a dozen celebrity A-listers and political heavy hitters.
DB here. Read this quote from Obama. No shit, Sherlock.
"We should not be surprised that if you've got hackers that want to dig in and devote a lot of resources, that they can access this information," Obama said. "Again, not sure how accurate but ... you've got web sites out there that tell people's credit card info. That's how sophisticated they are."
