There is an interesting dynamic at play. Drudge posted a poll yesterday showing that 20% don't believe OBL is dead. There is another strong contingent who believes an old Fox news report quoting unnamed Taliban tribesman who had reportedly attended OBL's funeral in 2001.
Without taking sides, purely from a journalistic view, the Fox story from 2001 is brutally weak. An unnamed Taliban leader calls a journalist in Pakistan to tell him about the funeral he attended last weekend, where oh by the way the corpse of Osama looked calm and peaceful. Hmm.
Honestly, who cares outside of the cost, which is in the trillions, and therein lies the shame. A few new stories on the wire tonight...
