So why isn't Maddow speaking out about our government supporting dictators? Might hurt her access to "top government officials" I'm guessing. Sellout.

Islamic banking gaining foothold in Nigeria

http://arabnews.com/economy/islamicfinance/article247073.ece

[snip]

Several other Nigerian banks including Christian-owned ones are seeking to introduce interest-free financial products to serve both their Muslim and non-Muslim clients or any others interested in ethical finance. Their view is that Islamic finance is now part of the international financial system, albeit it a small niche, and that its has its merits purely as an alternative system of financial management as opposed to the market-based conventional system whose excesses so nearly caused the collapse of the global banking system in the recent financial crisis because of the greed and excessive speculation through investment in junk derivatives such as collateralized debt obligations (CDOs) backed by junk US mortgages.

Personally, I don't think there is a need to give us a list of your 25 most recent stories in each story: it is redundant if I want a list of recent stories, I'll click on the "100 most recent" tab on top of the page, and voila, I'll get a list of the 25 most recent ones.

China's central bank raises priority of price controls: report

http://news.xinhuanet.com/english2010/china/2011-01/31/c_13714062.htm

[snip]

Rising consumer prices have prompted the central bank to launch a series of monetary-tightening measures, including two interest rate increases and a series of rises in the bank reserve requirement ratio since the beginning of last year.

The PBOC would continue to utilize price and quantitative tools such as interest rates, reserve requirement ratios and open market operations to reach the goal and improve the monetary policy tools, said the report.

Actually what you would find out if this "movement" succeeds is that "extremist Muslim terrorists" DO NOT EXIST. The TRUTH the world will find out is, it has been these American puppet dictators that have given them "keys to the backdoor" to carry out the training camps that have trained the AMERICAN FUNDED AL_CIADUH's operations throughout the world.

I agree with M.H., DB. Shit, if I want your most recent 25 stores, I just scroll down a couple days. Frequently I find my name attached to a comment I don't recall at all. It's like a game.

@ mh...and cheyenne...

firstly, the list always has 15 stories in it...it's a sliver of code from feedburner who handles my 15,000 daily RSS and email list readers...so i just paste it in...and i chose 15 because that is the average of how many stories i'm posting per day...so it's the whole day's worth...

secondly, your suggestion explains why neither of you run a website...just kidding...but give me a little credit for knowing my site and knowing my referrals and knowing my traffic...and making the needed decisions...

that list of recent stories is NOT for regulars...it's for the daily fly-bys...people who don't read the site regularly...

but i thank you for your feedback,....see at least tonight i didn't chew anybody's ass for telling me what to do...;-)

TC,

Egypt now assembles the “Abrams” M-1 tank at a government facility near Cairo (some components are shipped from the United States and other components are manufactured in Egypt).

It is part of the grand plan to give all the low paying jobs to foreigners in America, and send the good paying jobs to other countries program that the Republicrats have found so endearing for like the last thirty years. They have found that there is a lot of money to be made destroying the middle class, and Americans absolutely love them for it.

Hence the popularity of continued support of party line semantics.

thank you gomp...you've been around for the whole ride...i've actually been meaning to ask you how you found the site originally...i know you live in or around cincy as does my sister and her husband...and josie, who posts occasionally and might be reading this, is also from cincy...so i've always been curious since you knew my name, though it had been mentioned in the radio broadcasts i've done which could explain it, but it made me think that maybe you know my sister or her husband...and i've wondered the same thing about you josie...if you're reading...

A friend of mine in Arizona that I used to work with e-mailed me your article "There Are No Words To Describe The Following" knowing that it was right up my alley, and I was hooked. Knowing things like names, etc., used to be my "job", as well as research.

I was good at it.

As a student of history, I know civilization's debt to Islam. It was Islam – at places like Al-Azhar University – that carried the light of learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe's Renaissance and Enlightenment. It was innovation in Muslim communities that developed the order of algebra; our magnetic compass and tools of navigation; our mastery of pens and printing; our understanding of how disease spreads and how it can be healed. Islamic culture has given us majestic arches and soaring spires; timeless poetry and cherished music; elegant calligraphy and places of peaceful contemplation. And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.
