Nassim Taleb Comes Out Of Seclusion To Annihilate Robert Rubin, Ben Bernanke (And Everyone Else -- WATCH)

Video:  Nassim Taleb on Risk and Robustness -- June 7, 2010

Taleb disappeared 5 months ago and stopped doing interviews.  This is the first clip I've seen since that time.  Set aside a few minutes for this one.  I really, really liked it.

For the inaugural video in the New Yorker Currents series, Nassim Nicholas Taleb talks with James Surowiecki about the causes of the 2008 financial crisis and the future of the economy.

(Bonus video at the bottom of the story...)

Embattled Democrat Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas narrowly won nomination to a third Senate term Tuesday night, overcoming a labor-backed challenger and defying a nationwide anti-establishment tide. California Republicans installed a pair of wealthy businesswomen, first-time candidates Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina, atop their ticket for the fall campaign.

On the busiest night of the primary year, tea party activists flexed their muscles in South Carolina, pushing state Rep. Nikki Haley ahead of three rivals in the Republican gubernatorial race. Shy of a majority, she will face Rep. Gresham Barrett in a June 22 runoff.

Another tea party favorite, Sharron Angle, won the right to challenge Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada in November. She triumphed with help from an unlikely combination: conservative supporters along with friends of the incumbent who calculated she would be the easiest Republican to beat in the fall.

Here's a real GEM of FINANCIAL DEMENTIA that serves to show just how BROKE everybody is in the USA. You've probably heard the phrase, "robbing Peter to pay Paul. Well, the U.S. government and its subsidiary's are currently implementing their NEW financial policy: Robbing Paul ..just to pay Paul back.

"New York State Wants to Borrow from its Pension Fund to Pay its Pension Fund (NYTimes)"
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/06/12/nyregion/12pension.html?source=patrick.net

You simply CANNOT make shit like THIS up. Who in their right mind would want to invest in America after reading this?

Isn't it the MOST INCREDIBLE concept you've ever heard of? It constitutes an official recognition of the fact that NY State is financed by the classical definition of a Ponzi Scheme. Watch foreign investment TANK after this article hits overseas!
