Clip is from this weekend. In middle school science classes in the mid-to-late 1970s students across the country, myself included, were indoctrinated into the cult of Global Cooling and the coming ice age. It was incredibly frightening for a 12 year-old, and as it turns out, complete hogwash. It's the same settled science then as now. And in some cases it's the exact same scientists claiming that the science is settled.

The warming alarmists hate him because he's better at math than they are and has repeatedly pointed out their mistakes in painstaking detail. The only thing that keeps the global warming racket going in academia is the insular, politicized nature of the field.

I'd say since Climate Gate, the alarmists have done nothing but spin their wheels trying to defend their models and their predictions. Not just in the media, but in academic journals where outsiders have published devastating critiques of various aspects of the climate "consensus." Judith Curry, by the way, was one of the first proponents of the idea that climate change was causing severe hurricanes. She's since rejected the certainty of her previous hypothesis and other scientists are still testing its validity. But yeah, I guess the science is "settled." It beggars belief.

If you google "snowball Earth" now you'll see a lot of talk about how the Earth was a snowball once or more times in the distant past. No suggestion it might do that again. And yet I recall in the 1970s that was the shrill cry of all the 'impending iceage' doomers. "Man's pollution will tip the balance to a snowball Earth, and it will stay that way foreeeeeeveeeer!" they'd write. I recall believing this hype at the time, and being very upset. I was a teen then, innocent in the ways of lying shills.

The same kind of lying that would now pretend "it was just one article." No it wasn't, it was everywhere. Not just the newspapers, but Scientific American and all the magazines too.

It's supremely hilarious that now many of those same people are lying Warmists, yet will have to suffer watching the world slip into an actual Maunder Minimum little ice age since good old Sol doesn't read their rubbish 'settled science.' It is also intriguing that the Competitive Enterprise Institute is the subject of an Attorney General subpoena so reeking of McCarthyite abuse of power, even proponents of global warming action are horrified at the blatant attack on free speech.

As a scientist with a degree in chemistry and a minor in physics, I have long been interested in the ongoing dispute regarding man's impact on global warming/climate change/climate “disruption,” and the left's concerted efforts to convince a gullible public that we should give up our use of fossil fuels to “save the planet.”

Last week, I went and saw “Climate Hustle,” and it reinforced all of the information that I have reviewed over the years, solid evidence that climate data was manipulated, and in some cases omitted to fit a climate change model and the left's political agenda. (Carbon dioxide, a trace gas in our atmosphere, has was even called a “pollutant”...you know the stuff that plants take in and then respire (“exhale”) oxygen that WE humans, etc., need to survive.)

The movie also provided a prima facie case that researchers have been deliberately generating biased “research” that supports “Chicken Little,” apocalyptic predictions for our world...all so they can continue to receive more taxpayer-funded grant money. It's totally disingenuous; and it's self-serving pseudo-science! And further, day-by-day, more scientists who were formally on the other side have now become “skeptics”/“deniers.” And these scientists have reaped the wrath of professional and personal vilification from their former colleagues.

The bottom line of this documentary film is that it's “all about the Benjamins” (forcing income redistribution by creating a public panic about impending global doom that must be specifically addressed by the world's governments and the UN right NOW!

If “Climate Hustle” ever gets to a DVD, it should be required viewing in every physical science class, if, for no other reason that it goes directly to the professional integrity that we should expect from every serious researcher.

Gomp, Here where I live there is called Unity Day. Kids are chosen according to how dire their circumstances are and they get up on stage and discuss their problems in front of the school. The kids are told to wear the school colors and they all write down shit on a colored piece of paper and they tape them to the walls and windows. Un fucking real. The schools all have the global mission statements plastered over the doorways. I think the admins actually believe this stuff. I digress.
