PHOTO - Who's Worse - Obama Or The Chicago Bears?

They both suck.  And I'm a Bears fan.

For the record, I grew up a Bears fan, proximity to Chicago, relatives in Chicago, Walter Payton, Bobby Douglass running quarterback (1972), blah, blah. But when the Colts were stolen from Baltimore in the chill of the night by Bob Irsay, Sr., I became part of the herd. And for the record, the Colts should trade the #1 draft pick and get a boatlaod of picks for the overhyped Andrew Luck. Manning will be back and better than ever. Mark my word. His neck injury cost him arm strength the past 4 years, and the arm is now back and better than ever, say my sources. And the neck fusion surgery will cost him only about about 1-2% range of motion, which is nothing compared to getting his throwing arm back.

Andrew Luck is the most overrated prospect since Tony Mandarich.

You're name-checking Tony Mandarich? Jebus you are old.

I'm not totally sold on A. Luck as a franchise QB either. Regardless of P. Manning's health, the erstwhile Baltimore club may wish to trade the pick to the Redskins in exchange for a solid decade of division titles.

Shananhan might give his entire cache of draft picks for the colts' #1 (a la Dikta and Ricky Williams), and we could then use 14 picks in the draft to set our future. That's probably a stretch, but I could see Shanny giving us his #1, #2, #3 and maybe #4 for our overall #1.

And our new coach, stolen from the Ravens yesterday, is a HUGE hire.

Bear fan all my life...What i know, if the bears didnt beat you this week,,,they beat you next week because you could not recover from the beating from the defense in one week.
But politics in Chicago.....If ya know who the Daleys are, you'll already know, the "Al Capone Syndacate", was the second largest crime family in the history of Chicago....

At least the Bears are penalized when they break the rules.

Sorry, but you don't know football talent if you think Andrew Luck is a bust! His only weakness that I have seen is that he gets discouraged sometimes. But, Peyton Manning is like that and so is Tom Brady when they get banged around and not playing great. A coach like Shanahan would be ideal for Andrew Luck. And it's funny that you mention the Bears, because a lot of Redskins fans would love to have Jay Cutler. Personally, I think they are out of their minds, because Cutler is only a minor upgrade over Rex Grossman. As for Peyton, he's done as a Colt. The only question is what team will sign him next.

Superman

Nice analysis. Agreed on Cutler vs. Grossman. My sister used to babysit Rex by the way, and she said his was very inaccurate whenever he threw temper tantrums as a kid. Always missing his mark. His dad, Dr. Grossman still practices medicine here in bloomington. And I should have qualified my comments on Andrew Luck. I think he's a fine prospect and will make a good pro, just that he doesn't deserve all the hype he receives. I put him in the same class as the Bengals rookie qb from this year out of TCU. Good skills, perhaps worth the first pick, but not a future superstar.
