REVENGE - Police Brutality Handled In The Right Way

With the brutality from Occupy Oakland still on our minds, this clip demonstrates what should happen to police who cross the line.  A futbol player gets it started with a kick to the head of one of the offending officers.  Then all hell breaks loose.  The only problem is that the main perpetrator escapes punishment as he scurries into the locker room.

Sorry, I like your website very much, but I cannot join you in condoning violence against the police(or anyone else). I hope you will reconsider, and post a retraction. Most of the police brutality, by a very small percentage of police officers, is being captured on video. As the ows people in NYC have gotten fond of saying to the NYPD: Thanks for participating in our media campaign. These are serious times, and citizens are peacefully exercising their 1st amendment rights.
Some more video which shows the actions of two police officers committing unlawful acts while standing in a group of 30 or 40 law abiding police officers: :

I'm not advocating violence against the Oakland PD. There are much better ways to handle that situation via the courts. This clip however is a different case, and for once, I enjoyed the officers getting a taste of their own medicine.

@Bob Armstrong

You just don't get it, do you?

The police only obeys commands from its paymasters.

Time and again, the police have been found to commit violence against peaceful demonstrators, unprovoked. No, it was not 'some black sheep'. It was planned that way.

Suppose you do get killed by the police in a peaceful demonstration. And then... what? Do you seriously think that you will be a martyr for your faith - your faith in non-violence? Do you suppose that your bloody sacrifice will turn even the most hard-hearted person to the justness of your cause? Do you think the elites care?

When the push comes to shove, when rubber bullets are replaced by live bullets, and when batons are replaced by tanks, you will have to make a choice: fight back, or die.

Liberty has a price, and it is only afforded to those who are prepared to lay down their lives and fight for it.
Songs and placards won't get you very far.

Why do you post as Anonymous? Agent provocateur?

In the alternative, check out some quotes from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anger:

"Anger is an automatic response to ill treatment. It is the way a person indicates he or she will not
tolerate certain types of behaviour. It is a feedback mechanism in which an unpleasant stimulus is met with
an unpleasant response." (Perhaps your anger misdirected. Hasn't your ill treatment come from Wall Street, not from any of the police, of whatever rank. They all, too, are of the 99%. The Occupy movement intends to be inclusive of all the 99%.
I believe that with every passing day, more and more of the police are silently taking our side. It is a very small percentage of police officers who are committing unlawful acts. Go online and see how Marines worldwide are taking sides with Scott Olsen. By the way, a smear campaign on Scott Olsen has already begun).

"Displays of anger can be used as a manipulation strategy for social influence."

Violence begets violence. But in the case of of the Oakland Police, they are the ones who gave violence, the demonstrators were the ones victimized. We didn't see any of the other police officers intervene, especially after the ex-marine was injured and other demonstrators came to his aid, but the police threw a stun grenade into the midst of those trying to help. There is no excuse for that kind of behavior, not from the police, who are there to keep the peace between all sides, which the demonstrators weren't doing any mischief or damage. Defending the police in this case, is a non started. as for the reference to anger, well, I wonder how thae person would feel if it was his immediate family member? You are acting just like an apologist for the policeman[s] bad actions, that makes it seem they are always right. Power corrupts and there are those cops who shouldn't be cops, but for what ever reason, are. So, as with everything, those bad apples/cops end up spoiling it for the good apples/cops.

Police are interested in maintaining POWER over any situation they find themselves in. Long gone are the days when the police mandate was to PROTECT and SERVE. Now it's bully and overpower. It is absolutely horrifying what the police are doing to just about everyone in the USA, not just to the OWS demonstrators. They have lost sight of who they are and what limits they must exercise.

The police have shown themselves to believe that they are not US citizens sharing the same responsibilities and obligations that non-police do. Instead they see themselves as above the law, sovereigns, who make the law on their feet as the situation arises rather than be limited by the constitution. And if they make a mistake or trample on a citizen's rights they are not held accountable.

This is a sad state of affairs. When I was a kid (50 years ago) cops did not have this attitude problem. Now the 'bad boy' mentality is so thoroughly ingrained into law enforcement that these criminal actions are becoming all too commonplace. It is a systemic failure which I am afraid can't be fixed with the current social/political structure. It will get worse until it is so bad that the people will tear the system down and rebuild it.

It is very unfortunate that the police have aligned themselves with the fascist Wall Street/Washington elite and actively use illegal brute force to keep the 1% firmly at the top of a bloody food chain. I don't know how much longer people are going to accept this state of affairs. Most everyone is sick of this brutality and are starting to see the truth behind what police are actually doing. Think about it: In the nation where the idea of free speech was born the state's police power is used like a bludgeon to literally beat it out of the people. I don't think this is going to end well.

@BOB

REMEMBER ONLY GOOD DEEDS SHOULD GO UNPUNISHED...A HUMAN BEING NO MATTER WHAT/ IS RIGHTFULLY ENDOWED BY HIS OR HER CREATOR TO SELF DEFENSE....AND NO MATTER WHO TRANSGRESSES AGAINST NATURAL LAW THEY ARE GUILTY OF VIOLATING THE SAME/ TO STAND BY AND ALLOW MASSIVE POLICE OR TROOPS TO VIOLATE NATURAL LAW..THEN YOU ARE A PART OF THE PROBLEM AND NOT OF THE SOLUTION...SO COWER IN FEAR WHEN YOU OR YOUR FAMILY IS SET UPON BY CRIMINALS OR POLICE OR STAND UP FOR SOMETHING...BY THE WAY THE POLICE ALSO HAVE A RIGHT TO SELF DEFENSE..BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE A RIGHT TO ASSAULT ANYONE...UNLESS THEY THEMSELVES ARE ASSAULTED.....

I have never defended the police officers who commit unlawful acts. I am incensed that, since 9/17/2011, no Prosecutor anywhere has had the courage to pursue prosecution of police officers who commit unlawful acts,or senior officers who give unlawful orders. Anthony Bologna in NYC, a senior officer in the NYPD, with a past civil rights record, immediately comes to mind. Last I heard, he is going to get an Internal Affairs investigation. Very likely to be a whitewash. But I will control my temper and not answer violence with violence under these circumstances. We must pursue peaceful means for all our grievances, and there are many! Many Statutes have been violated, and, more seriously, the constitutional rights of American citizens have been violated. TPTB want nothing more than for us to become violent.

I understand and respect your stance of non-violence. I was simply explaining this clip. You mentioned Bologna - He has already been given his punishment for the mace incidents. He lost a few weeks of vacation time. That was it. I posted the story a few days ago.

Choose violence and you will only be branded a terrorist. Choose violence and you will only give the government the excuse they need to herd us into the FEMA camps. Choose violence and you become like the corporations and governments we want to change. Choose violence and TPTB will only escalate their ongoing violence.

Those were not cops, security people. According to the commentator (if you don't speak Portuguese you did not understand), the security guys had to go to the hospital to be checked. Now, when you have 4 or 5 guys beating one, I don't care if you are cop or not, you are just a coward with a small dick.

Bob, the government knows if they go to far with violence and imprisonment the revolutions in the middle east will seem minor compared to what happens here. The country is walking a tightrope and idiots like the cop who did the shooting and tossed the grenade need locked up and prosecuted. If not the eye for an eye option will eventually come into play and then the S.H.T.F.

Dear DB.

How old are you? Are you a teenager that just happens to be a computer geek? Or are you a left over hippie that thinks 'Cops are all pigs" and, "Peace , love, dope" can solve anything? What should the cops have done? Should they have hugged the protester? Should they have called Dr.Phil? Should they have asked him to assume the Lotus Position and chant, "Oohm mani Pate Oohm?"

The police were not getting a tatse of their own medicine. They were attacked by some jock that believe he had the right to interfere with police that were attempting to restore order to a public event. My regret is that the police did not club the Jock as well. My only objection to this presentation was that the protester was not a nude 18 year old beach beauty, which would have made the chase much more enjoyable. I apologize if my hetero-sexuality preference has offended anyone. I guess the point here is, "Grow up."

Well, the jock had the right to interfere with the police action because the police action involved TORTURE.
If you look at the video you will see that after the culprit is on the ground and his extremities are held down by two college policeman, policeman number three deems it necessary to jab his weapon-stick several times purposely and with force into the ribs of the culprit. This is no longer an arrest but has ventured into the realms of TORTURE.
Torture is a crime against humanity and under no circumstance an approved police procedure. When you see anybody (including a police officer) commit a crime against humanity, it is your duty as human being to stop that crime. Says so the United Nations and The Hague !

@ Tom -all you have to do is watch the videos and you can see how violent the police have become. Its absolutely disgusting. We are not stoned out hoppies from the 60's; we are living in a police state where we can't even walk on the dam sidewalk. Ignore it and it will get worst. Pretty soon you will have TSA agents out side every school sticking their hands down your kids pants or a chip in your arm.

@ Bob no one is putting us in any FEMA camps. I am sure the police would do it in heartbeat but there aren't enough of them. You can forget about the military they won't do it -they are freedom fighters. They'll fight for us.

Tom Kane says,

("They were attacked by some jock that believe he had the right to interfere with police that were attempting to restore order to a public event. My regret is that the police did not club the Jock as well." )

My regret is that the sadistic guard who is repeatedly, aggressively thrusting his baton at an immobilized protester didn't end up with that Side Handled Baton shoved up his butt. Those thrusts can cause permanent injury to internal organs and break bones. The protester is down and defenseless, there is no excuse for what the guard is doing.

Choose violence and you will only be branded a terrorist.

Acording to Bob then, the cops can beat the living shit out of us and its ok. If we strike back, then were the Terrorist.........I bet its 99% peacefull, when the cops #'ed 4 to 1, and 1% of protesters had it comming from the cops.

Its sad thoe, the 1% guy is not cuffed and hauled away. No, he has 4-6 cops take him to the ground and kick the crap out of him for 5min. first.......Cops like that
Piss thAre pants becouse its to short to clear the Zipper.............! ( Hey, the Little Peckker Heads Gota Blame Someone for the tiny 4"'er )

The whole country best Pray Scott comes out of this 100% or all hell could break out. Ol Bob would get his wish. All of us would be "Terrorist"......! You can only Beat Down good people till they have reason to fight back...?
