Ron Paul Highlights From NBC Florida Presidential Debate - The Fed, Possible 3rd-Party Campaign, TARP, Freddie Mac
This is a very interesting clip. Watch at least the first few minutes, as Gingrich and Paul discuss the Federal Reserve, a possible 3rd-party campaign run for Dr. Paul, Gingrich's consulting tenure for Freddie Mac, TARP, Wall Street and more.

For a Doctor in The House, vote Ron Paul, 1st, 2nd or 3rd party!

Wow. That MSM article required only 15 or so words to announce itself as total rubbish. What a time-saver.
As for the speech itself, Obama wasted no time exposing his breathtaking inconsistency, touting his bailout bets on the banks paid off nearly in the same breath that he used to disavow all future bailouts.
The man is a total jackass. He'd read fortune cookies off his teleprompter if his handlers told him to.

Cheyenne, embracing the e'er lame and extremely tiresome teleprompter meme demeans your respected name. You make some strong and legitimate criticisms of Obama, but by embracing this particular one, you drag yourself down to the mouth-breathers. Will you next start spouting off about Teh Birf Certificate? One hopes not.
I thought this episode would have ended the teleprompter nonsense once and for all,

but some zombie memes are hard to kill.

Noticed the same thing. I just kept saying 'bullshit' as I watched.
In the context of last night's speech, I had the same thought about the teleprompter, especially when you compare Obama's speaking ability with and without. The guy is a genius with a script, and pretty lame without one, which several live clips have proven. You have to understand the frustration some of us feel when we hear the constant lies, albeit presented so eloquently.
'fraid a two year-old link to an a 2nd-hand account of a puppet show debate won't wash the teleprompter label off the man. It fits O lie a glove for a reason--he needs the teleprompter more than a fetus needs its umbilical cord.
The man is scared to death of press conferences--where questioners are pre-screened for softball pitches in the first instance. That's why he waited OVER A MONTH to take questions on the Gulf Oil Spill disaster. And that press conference showed quite clearly his fear was rational.
At another press conference, with Sarkozy, a reported shouted a question: did Obama agree with the French position on the Middle East? Obama's response? "Bon jour"
Obama's non-responsive nonsense elicited a follow-up question, of course:
Q. Is that a "no comment"?
A. No comment.
The man is a DISASTER on his feet. That's why he's relegated to utterances behind a teleprompter. It's one of the few things he's ever earned.
I don't usually bother with SOTUs, as they have always been utterly contrived, prepackaged, predictable stale oatmeal. (Hell, the script is now released ahead of time when the clock strikes the right hour: "America totally rocks! [wait for applause]".)
This preview from the awesome Mr. Pierce was spot on:

The kicker:
"I suspect that tonight we're going to get the statesman. It would be the smart move, given the clown show being played out on the other side in Florida. I would advise against any drinking game that requires you to drink whenever the word "sacrifice" is mentioned, especially if you have to get up early for work tomorrow. I think we'll hear some eloquent head-fakes concerning income inequality and the brutally unfair tilt of the economy upwards, and some concrete proposals to fight off the evil Deficit Monster. I suspect we will hear "Washington" and "Congress" decried for partisanship and delay. We will be told how great we are again. People will cheer. Some clumsy Republican street theater may break out in the chamber. But the sense of the lost moment will hang heavily, one more time, and nobody out in the land will realize that it is not Barack Obama's moment that was lost, but our own."
*Can I trust everyone not to conflate correlation with causation here? Thanks in advance.
Oh boy...

Whom you gonna believe, a right-wing talking point or your lyin' eyes?
{Long sigh} The point here is not that the Prez isn't full of shit and hasn't done (and continued) some horrible, unforgivable things. The point is the Teh Teleprompter Meme is a lame-ass talking point pitched to right-wing dumbfucks. There are gazillions of legitimate arguments to be made against the current Administration. I would be considerably less heartbroken if you would stick to those and not instead parrot The Steve Doocy Experience.
I don't watch or read anyone identified on either side of the flaccid pre-bailout aisle. Why? Because they're all in the service of morbidly obese and criminal banks. What kind of "conservative" attacks welfare but defends TARP? What kind of "liberal" attacks corporate greed but maintains that TARP was repaid. It's just ridiculous and (more importantly) a waste of time to anyone seeking the truth.
But now that you bring it up, it's hilarious if right-wing jagovs actually attack BHO for using a Teleprompter if they at the same time defend Bush, who was a true moron. I'll never forget when Bush was attacking Saddam Hussein and stated, "he's disassembling" before leaning in to the camera to enrich our vocabularies: "that means lying." Jesus. What a fool.
Plainly both Bush and Obama are in the exclusive service of their criminally fraudulent Wall St. masters. Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, Chris Matthews--they're all worthless punks, clueless salesmen, jagovs. Rather than coping with the forces behind our current Depression, i.e., fraud, they instead attempt to shoehorn cherry-picked facts into a left-right model that would be a joke but for the fact that it's absolutely killing our country.
