The Trump Boycott Has Destroyed Macy's Stock Price

THE TRUMP EFFECT ON MACY'S

Macy's stock market capitalization has cratered from approximately $20 billion on the day they cut ties with Donald Trump to $9.5 billion today. Sales are down 40% versus last year. The absolutely hideous 1-year and 5-year stock charts are below.

The lesson is simple: do not mess with the Trump Train or you will be annihilated.

Will Amazon suffer a similar fate after Trump threatened them last week? Here's a screenshot of Amazon's stock price and market cap on the day he issued the threat. Something worth watching as we head to November.

A lot of retailers have reported weak earnings. Sports Authority has closed shop, Sears has scuttled a bunch of stores. Would these Macy's numbers reflect that trend as well?

Macy is getting destroyed by amazon. The fact that they play with politics and send political trash propaganda on marketing fliers is another reason to boycott them. Amazon will destroy their stock further as shopping increasingly online coupled with trash marekting of macy and end many over valuated chain of brick and mortars..
